PlayBox Neo Reports Successful Exhibition at the NAB Show New York, Fueled by Cost-Effective and User-Friendly Upgrades
PlayBox Neo, a leading provider of media playout solutions, reports its participation at the NAB Show New York on October 9-10 resulted in new customer relationships and new commitments from existing clientele, driven by interest in the company’s cost-effective and flexible playout, channel branding and cloud solutions. Over 12,000 attendees came to the NAB Show New York at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, and three quarters of those do not attend the larger NAB Show in Las Vegas.1
“This was a tremendous show for PlayBox Neo,” said Van Duke, Director of U.S. Operations, PlayBox Neo. “And we did see several colleagues we missed at NAB in Las Vegas. New clients came by as well as some of our current clientele looking to re-establish their commitment to us. We were grateful for the opportunity to demonstrate the value and ease of use of our software in person. Our solutions are installer- and operator friendly, cost-effective, and backed by 24/7 technical staff support.”
PlayBox Neo showcased its full range of multi-platform broadcast solutions at NAB New York, including the highly anticipated support for SMPTE ST 2110 IP input/output. SMPTE ST 2110 offers scalable media infrastructure using standard Ethernet networks instead of dedicated physical digital cables. This allows media organizations to add video, audio and metadata streams without new physical infrastructure.
Alongside SMPTE ST 2110 support, PlayBox Neo demonstrated additional updates within its AirBox Neo-20 playout and IP streaming system; Capture Suite for content ingest; and Media Gateway for live media delivery and distribution. Also on display was the company’s cutting-edge Channel-in-a-Box turnkey playout production suite, featuring Cloud2TV, their cloud-based media solution.
The past year has been a solid one in terms of U.S.-based activity, with sales to NBC affiliate WJFW; Island TV in Miami, government TV station Orange TV, Roberts Communications Network, public affairs network TVW, and News12 Long Island.
PlayBox Neo handles the entire workflow from ingest, asset management, graphics creation, titling, subtitling, ad insertion and scheduling to playout. PlayBox Neo solutions are based on modular products and services which can be easily customized to provide the exact capability needed for any scale of channel playout management – from ingest and scheduling right through to transmission.
