DeVry University Establishes Headquarters and Opens New Center in Naperville

NAPERVILLE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DeVry University is pleased to announce the location of its administrative headquarters and opening of its academic Center at 1200 E. Diehl Rd., in Naperville. A grand opening is scheduled for Thursday, July 18. Joining DeVry University officials at the ribbon cutting ceremony will be Naperville Mayor Steve Chirico, Illinois Senator Laura Ellman, Illinois State Rep. Amy Grant, as well as DeVry students, faculty, alumni and friends.

“We are happy to officially welcome DeVry University to the Naperville community,” said Mayor Chirico. “Naperville has been my home for more than 50 years, and I’ve been a part of making it the world-class community it is today. I understand what it takes to create a well-balanced, robust community and educational institutions like DeVry are important to our vitality as they greatly contribute to the strength and success of the local economy.”

DeVry University Home Office

DeVry moved its Home Office from Downers Grove to Naperville last summer, where the university’s administrators and functional areas are based, including Academics, Admissions, Student Services, Information Technology, Marketing, among others. Approximately 500 colleagues are based out of the Home Office. DeVry’s accreditor – the Higher Learning Commission – recently recognized the location as DeVry’s new main campus.

Naperville Center

More recently, DeVry moved its Centers in both Downers Grove and Naperville to the new Naperville Center, co-located at DeVry’s Home office at 1200 E. Diehl Rd. The Naperville Center, which offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs, provides a collaborative education environment for students, including innovative classroom technologies and an open-concept design with a common area for students to study individually or collaborate with peers. Because of its close proximity to several Fortune 500 corporate headquarters, prominent healthcare organizations and major players in technology and electronics, the Naperville Center provides students with access to opportunities in a wide variety of industries.

“DeVry has called Chicagoland ‘home’ for the past 88 years, and now we are proud to be a part of the Naperville community,” said James Bartholomew, DeVry president and CEO. “We have a long history of providing quality and innovation in higher education, and look forward to continuing our mission for students here in the western suburbs, in Chicagoland and around the country.”

Grand Opening

The grand opening is Thursday, July 18, 4 – 7 p.m. at DeVry’s Home Office at 1200 E. Diehl. Tours of the Naperville Center will also be provided. DeVry’s Home Office and Naperville Center are situated near the intersection of Naperville Road and the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88).
