Un-carrier Goes Big for Little League® with $250,000 or More Donation at T-Mobile Home Run Derby
- What’s the news: The Un-carrier is donating at least a quarter million dollars to Little League®Baseball and Softball. Home runs at the T-Mobile Home Run Derby will drive the total higher…$1K per home run and $5K per home run with a magenta ball during bonus time. Plus, whether in Cleveland or at home, T-Mobile packs on the fun for all the fans.
- Why it matters: Americans love them some baseball, and $250K goes a loooong way to help more kids have access to America’s game…and THAT means a better connection to community, hard work and sportsmanship.
- Who it’s for: Baseball fans of all ages.
BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Big league love for Little League® teams. T-Mobile (NASDAQ: TMUS) is the Official Wireless Provider of Major League Baseball, and they’re going BIG for MLB All-Star Week by donating at least $250K to Little League Baseball and Softball at this year’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby. MLB players can drive the total higher with every dinger, as the Un-carrier will donate an extra $1K per home run and $5K per magenta bonus ball home run – which could be more than $450K if players hit even as many regulation home runs as they did last year! Funds raised will help make local Little League programs more accessible for kids and families around the country through equipment grants and financial assistance to help make youth participation more affordable. This comes on top of the $100K T-Mobile and CEO John Legere donated in April to support local leagues rebuilding in Puerto Rico.
The Un-carrier is also connecting fans to the game they love allll week long with the T-Mobile Home Run Derby Bracket Challenge, chances to meet MLB All-Stars, design their own free custom hats, get behind the scenes access and more.
“We love showing up big for baseball fans – and at this year’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby, it’s no different. We’re all in, supporting our future baseball and softball sluggers with a $250K-plus donation to Little League, making America’s game more accessible for kids and families around the country,” said John Legere, T-Mobile CEO. “And of course, we’re here for the fans, with so much fun on the ground in Cleveland and on social, so everyone can get in on the action. Let’s play ball!”
