TEKVOX, Inc. announced the release of its 79066-H2U HDBaseT™Wall Plate Switcher. The 79066-H2U is capable of sending full HD or 4K video with high fidelity over a standard Cat6a cable run (40M @ 4K, 70M @ 1080P). With a maximum power consumption of only 22W, and a convenient double-gang form factor, the TPUH701T makes it simple to connect distant digital video sources to a display with no need for armored cable or intermediate equipment. It features 2 HDMI connections and 1 USB-C (Slimport) connection, and allows for manual or automatic switching among them.
“Upgrading to an all-digital system is now within reach for nearly every school,” Jim Reinhart, CEO of TEKVOX, said. “More importantly, this technology can be built upon and upgraded with confidence.”
The 79066-H2U can be used with common HDBase-T Lite receivers and can be powered remotely from all TEKVOX HDBase-T receivers. The device can alternately power a remote receiver. In addition to being used in its auto-switching mode, the 79066-H2U can be paired with TEKVOX control systems and user interface panels and will also be featured in upcoming Drop-In AV® whole-room solutions.
“With support for both HDMI and USB-C video sources, the 79066-H2U can handle both the prevailing standard for laptops and the future one and continue to promise our customers an economical managed system with high up-time and years of operation,” concludes Reinhart.
