PlanetArt Acquires Personal Creations from FTD Companies, Adding New Gifts Dimension to Its Personalized Products Platform

CALABASAS, Calif. & DOWNERS GROVE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–PlanetArt, LLC, a leader and one of the fastest growing companies in the print-on-demand and personalization spaces, and FTD Companies, Inc. (“FTD”) announced that PlanetArt has completed the acquisition of Personal Creations from FTD Companies for $18.1 million in cash, plus certain additional payments, as part of FTD’s court-supervised restructuring.

Woodridge, Illinois-based Personal Creations (PersonalCreations.com) brings a new gifts dimension to PlanetArt’s high-growth personalized products platform. PlanetArt is well known for its FreePrints family of mobile apps, Simply to Impress website and other properties offering photo prints, photo books, cards and wall décor. The Personal Creations acquisition enhances PlanetArt’s business and growth trajectory with the addition of a well-established personalized gifts component.
