Outdoor Alabama Mobile App and Website Win Platinum Awards in International Competition

MONTGOMERY, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ official website and mobile app, both built and hosted by Alabama Interactive, were honored with platinum awards from the dotCOMM award competition. The platinum award is the highest possible recognition from the competition that honors excellence in web creativity and digital communication.

The Outdoor Alabama mobile app and OutdoorAlabama.com were strategically designed to provide a seamless user experience across both platforms. On the website, users can quickly view tailored season information using the predictive search feature or find which hunting or fishing license they are required to hold. Once purchased, that user can view their hunting or fishing license on their personalized “My Licenses” section in the mobile app and purchase a different license on the go if needed. Both online access points are visually designed with the same department branding to create a consistent experience and message for the user.

While the website is fully responsive on all devices, the mobile app is designed specifically for access and action on the go. Citizens can join the more than 84,000 people that have already downloaded the official mobile app by simply searching “Outdoor AL” in the Google Play or Apply Store or click on the download links below:
