NorthStar Midstream Welcomes Brian L. Melton as SVP of Commercial

THE WOODLANDS, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NorthStar Midstream (“NorthStar” or the “Company”), a diversified midstream services company, majority owned by funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (“Oaktree”), announced today that Brian L. Melton has been hired as Senior Vice President, Commercial, reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, Mac Hummel.

Mr. Melton most recently served as the Chief Commercial Officer for Blueknight Energy Partners, which provides crude oil and asphalt terminal, pipeline and transportation services throughout the United States.

Prior to his tenure as Chief Commercial Officer for Blueknight, Mr. Melton was Vice President of Pipeline Marketing & Business Development at the company. Before joining Blueknight, Mr. Melton served as the Vice President of Business Development / Corporate Strategy for Crestwood and Inergy, which provide midstream crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids services. Mr. Melton, who has also held investment banking positions at Wachovia Securities and A.G. Edwards, received a Bachelor of Science degree in Management and a Master of Business Administration degree from Arkansas State University.

Mr. Melton also currently serves on the Board of Directors of exploration and production company Abraxas Petroleum Corporation.
