Michigan’s REMC Association awards Digital Age Technologies, Inc., and Boxlight as providers for Classroom Technology Solutions

DAVISON, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Digital Age Technologies, Inc. (DAT), a highly regarded full-service
sales and services company in Michigan, announced today that it has been
awarded one of Michigan’s REMC SAVE interactive classroom technology
contracts, in partnership with Boxlight (NASDAQ: BOXL), a leading
provider of interactive technology solutions for the global education
market. REMC SAVE is a service of the REMC Association of Michigan on
behalf of all Michigan schools. The REMC Association is comprised of 28
local regional educational media centers operated through the
intermediate school district structure throughout Michigan.

The contract will be effective January 1, 2019-December 31, 2020. DAT
will offer competitively bid and awarded pricing for the complete line
up of the award-winning and highly popular interactive teaching
technologies including, but not limited to Boxlight’s ProColor 65-inch
and 75-inch panels, MimioTeach Bar, MimioBoard, and Mimio Interactive
Ultra Short-Throw Projector.

“DAT is excited to be a part of the partnership with Boxlight/Mimio and
REMC SAVE. We look forward to working with Boxlight/Mimio to provide the
most cost-effective solutions for REMC-eligible agencies,” said Mark
Spencer, President of DAT.

Members of the committee who awarded DAT the contract noted part of its
rationale in doing so was due in no small part to customer choice – that
is, educators currently using Boxlight-Mimio products.

“This is a remarkable testament to our products’ level of quality and
functionality. It completely validates our objectives of enhancing
teaching and learning, encouraging student motivation and participation,
and facilitating revolutionary technology integration into classrooms in
a cost-effective manner,” said Mark Elliott, Boxlight’s CEO.

Since 1969, the REMC Association of Michigan has provided proactive
leadership to the Michigan educational community by participating with
other organizations in building a vision that supports quality teaching
and learning and provides equity to Michigan’s pre-K-12 students. It
consistently accomplished this within the framework of the following
principles:

  • Improve learning for all students.
  • Provide effective cost savings through statewide cooperative
purchasing, which allows local resources to be reallocated to enhance
    teaching and learning.
  • Support constituents and improve teaching and learning statewide
through future-focused collaboration, leadership and service.
  • Empower teachers to create high quality, engaging instructional
environments when they have access to the necessary skills, tools and
    rich sources of information.
  • Advance statewide connectivity through delivery systems and
    infrastructure.
