ATD Audio Visual Expands Inventory with Ayrton Diablo and Levante Fixtures
ATD Audio Visual, a full-service event production and rental company in the Bronx, New York, has taken delivery of its first Ayrton lighting fixtures. The new Diablo-S and Levante-S will primarily be used for the company’s own production services and will also be available on a rental basis. ACT Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton fixtures in North America.
ATD President Or Israel saw the Ayrton lights at LDI last year and considered them when expanding the company’s inventory this summer. Ayrton Diablo-S, especially designed for stage applications, is a feature-rich 300 W profile luminaire. Levante-S is billed as a dramatically miniaturized version of the Bora wash light with an impressive zoom range and superior color mixing.
“We are targeting high-end corporate events, and our inventory features many high-end brands: Christie’s Spyder X80, Panasonic laser projectors, L-Acoustics speaker systems,” says Israel. “Ayrton is a perfect complement to this line up. Ayrton fixtures combine compact size and weight, low power consumption, brightness, functionality, wireless DMX capabilities and state-of-the-art engineering. And they are beautiful to look at. Ayrton fixtures really are the future of lighting.”
Soon after ATD received the fixtures the Diablo-S were utilized at The Future Africa Forum, a top-level event attended by Bill Gates and affiliated with the new Africa Center. The lights were used to texture walls and highlight the opening musical performance and the speakers’ podium. “Everyone was very pleased with their performance,” Israel reports.
“We look forward to other high-end production companies investing in Ayrton fixtures to increase the opportunity for cross-rentals,” he adds.
ATD also recently took delivery of a new grandMA3 light console, another brand represented by ACT Lighting.
