Wisycom Unveils New RF Scanner for itsMRK16 Multi-Channel Receiver System at IBC 2024
AMSTERDAM, AUGUST 28, 2024 —Wisycom will present the new, integrated RF Scanner for its MRK16 multi-channel receiver system at IBC 2024 (Stand 8.C44). This innovative addition complements the numerous advanced functionalities of the MRK16, including the ability to manage up to 16 true diversity, multi-band channels in a compact, 19-inch 1U rack. The MRK16 can now be daisy-chained up to four times, for 64 channels of audio, and is the perfect choice for any application in need of a wireless microphone system.
The MRK16 also accepts up to four MCR54 receivers, providing antenna distribution, RF filtering and advanced audio routing. The dual-zone matrix function makes it possible to select and combine two diversity zones using an antenna booster and smart remote control of the Wisycom LFA/ADFA/BFA. With the new RF Scanner, users can effortlessly monitor RF activity and optimize frequency deployment without sacrificing an MCR54 to do so.
“With this new addition, the MRK16 becomes the complete core of wireless microphone systems, making it the ultimate solution for RF monitoring and frequency management,” says Leslie Lello, Wisycom Technical Support. “This powerful feature is designed to adapt and evolve with future software updates, ensuring that your device remains at the cutting edge of technology. We are very proud to unveil this latest MRK16 enhancement to IBC 2024 attendees.”
The ultra-wideband receiver system operates from 470 to 1260 MHz and is equipped with 10 automatically selected band-pass filters. The RF-over-fiber functionality of the MRK16 allows for pristine reception without distance limits or heavy signal loss, while the optional EXP3 fiber module and BFLT1 transmitter make it possible to place coaxial cables and antennas miles away. The MRK16 includes several audio outputs, including analog (with dual DB25 Tascam wiring), digital (AES72 and AES59) and primary and secondary Dante. The device also features redundant, dual-power supply on XLR4, dual Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) and PoE output, as well as USB-C connectivity.
