SEOUL, South Korea–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#AR—Korea Radio Promotion Association (RAPA) held an online IR event ‘2021 Venturus Class in XR’ on November 23 for networking and investor relations for Korean in-school XR labs wishing to set up business in the US.
The event was designed to provide business matching opportunities to University XR labs, and accelerated by COMMAX Venturus with the US investors and AR/VR industry experts.
At the event, two Korean XR labs pitched for their business and had a Q&A session with US participants at the end.
“Already many Korean startups have been set up in the US, especially in Silicon Valley,” Joohyun June Oh, PM at COMMAX Venturus said. “Through the online meet-up, we hope to promote our startups to US investors in the form of investment attraction and partnership signing before a full-fledged entrance to the US market.”

1. Augmented Knowledge from Inha University
Augmented Knowledge Corp. is a spin-off from Inha University AI Laboratory. It strives to unify Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR) and implement them in industry 4.0.
2. XR lab from Seoul National University
SNU XR lab is a lab from the College of Medicine at Seoul National University and is developing an AR solution and AR devices for Central Venous Catheterization. Its company foundation is planned in ’22 2Q as a subsidiary of Seoul Techno Holdings, Inc., which is an organization for supporting the commercialization of SNU’s in-school technology.
