Terphane Introduces the Ecophane™ Line of Sustainable PET Films

The new product line offers a film that is composed of 30% or more of post-consumer recycled, food grade PET.

RICHMOND, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Terphane (www.terphane.com), a subsidiary of Tredegar Corporation (NYSE:TG) and a global competitor in specialty polyester films, has recently introduced its sustainable films line, Ecophane™, to the global packaging market. “Through the use of our technological expertise and extensive research and development, Terphane has created a line of PET films that address a growing demand for films that deliver recyclable packaging with recycled content,” explained Jose Bosco Silveira Jr., President of Terphane. Terphane is offering more than 10 different types of Ecophane™ films for a wide variety of applications.

Terphane has defined environmental, social, and economic positive actions in its plants, products, and communities as priorities for its sustainability journey. Flexible packaging supports this effort because of its excellent performance in optimizing functionality and the use of resources. Due to its light weight, flexible packaging also reduces environmental impact and offers great advantages for product storage and transportation costs. The development of Ecophane™ not only follows the sustainability metrics established by Terphane, but also fulfills brand owners´ search for more sustainable packaging.
