Tangram Appoints Local Entrepreneur Alison Hickman as Regional Manager for Bakersfield Office

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Sept. 10, 2019 – Tangram, a curator of highly creative commercial interior environments and workspaces, has announced the appointment oof new team leaders for its offices in Newport Beach, Fresno and Bakersfield.

Alison Hickman is now serving as Regional Manager for the firm’s Bakersfield office. Hickman is a 15-year resident of the city and comes to Tangram following seven years as a successful local business owner with expertise in interior, floral and event design.

Her involvements have included major events for local non-profits with prominent speakers like Condoleezza Rice, Laura Bush and Sugar Ray Leonard. Current engagements include the upcoming fall 2019 Farm to Table(aux) and spring 2020 Evening With events benefiting Boys and Girls Clubs of Kern County. Hickman has also worked in residential and commercial interiors, including the recent renovation of a local area church.

“This position offers a perfect opportunity to build relationships with new clients and help them transform their organizations through all that Tangram has to offer,” Hickman said. “I’m very excited to see how my new role will deepen my involvement in the community while working with friends both old and new.”

With all five of her children now in school as of this year, Hickman was seeking new opportunities. She anticipates applying her skills in identifying and optimizing the functional goals for spaces, while building strong relationships between the company and the community as the city undergoes a revitalization.

Asked about aspects of Bakersfield that she values, Hickman pointed out the transformation and “new vibe” currently underway in the city’s downtown. With roots in Wisconsin, she also noted that the city “feels a lot like home, minus the snow and mosquitoes.”

“We have a friendly and hardworking community here that makes Bakersfield a great place to live,” she added. “We are growing and attracting a lot of new businesses and families which is pretty exciting. It’s a wonderful time to be here, and I look forward to further building Tangram’s contributions to the city and the region.”

Tangram provides solutions that foster workplace satisfaction, collaboration and productivity while enhancing the client’s brand and culture. In addition to its core contract furniture offering, the company operates multiple additional business units for a comprehensive approach to commercial interiors. This range of services allows for top-to-bottom involvement that integrates each aspect of planning, design and installation.
