SimpliGov Introduces SimpliAI Forms to Help Government Agencies Turn PDFs into Digital Forms in Minutes

Now available in early access for SimpliGov customers, the new capability helps agencies convert static PDF forms into accessible digital experiences

SACRAMENTO, CA / ACCESS Newswire / April 23, 2026 / SimpliGov today announced the release of SimpliAI Forms, an AI-powered capability that converts government PDF forms into accessible digital forms in minutes.

Across government, thousands of online services still rely on static PDF forms that residents must download, complete, and return manually. While agencies want to modernize these services, converting each form into a digital experience typically requires hours of manual setup.

SimpliAI Forms dramatically simplifies that process. Agencies can upload a PDF form – such as a permit application, license renewal, or benefits intake form – and SimpliAI Forms automatically extracts fields, organizes the structure, and generates a fully editable digital form inside the SimpliGov platform.

Once PDFs are converted into a truly digital HTML-based form, agencies can leverage the SimpliGov platform to add more advanced workflow rules, approvals, and automation that reflect how government processes are executed behind the scenes.

By transforming static PDFs into structured digital forms, SimpliAI Forms helps agencies launch online services faster while improving accessibility for constituents. The generated forms are designed to support ADA accessibility standards, reducing barriers for residents who rely on assistive technologies. Agencies can also add translation services that allow residents to interact with forms in multiple languages and improve access for diverse communities.

Early testing shows more than an 80% reduction in the time required to digitize forms compared to manual configuration.

“Turning paper into digital workflows is chapter one – not the whole story,” said Jill Schornack, Chief Product Officer, SimpliGov. “SimpliAI is built to go further: from digitization to intelligence. Every form we convert creates the structured data that powers smarter automation, operational insights, and, ultimately, government workflows that improve on their own.”

SimpliAI Forms represents the first step in SimpliGov’s vision for an intelligent government operations solution. Over time, SimpliAI will evolve into a broader suite of capabilities designed to accelerate workflow design, provide conversational AI support for agencies and constituents, and enable a network of intelligent agents that help automate routine government processes. Together, these capabilities aim to help agencies modernize services faster while maintaining the transparency, accessibility, and oversight required in the public sector.

SimpliAI Forms is currently available for select SimpliGov customers.

About SimpliGov

SimpliGov helps government agencies deliver the services communities depend on by automating how work moves across systems, teams, and departments.

Government programs often rely on multiple systems that were never designed to work together. As a result, critical processes like applications, approvals, document reviews, and payments are frequently coordinated manually, leading to delays, backlogs, and operational risk.

SimpliGov addresses this challenge by connecting forms, systems of record, and external data sources, and automatically routing work through the steps required for a program without relying on custom development or large-scale transformation projects.
