Robins Kaplan LLP Announces Leadership Changes

MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Robins Kaplan LLP® is pleased to announce leadership transitions for the
firm’s Executive Board and New York office. Ronald
J. Schutz
has been elected Chair of the Executive Board and Anne
Lockner
has been chosen by her partners to serve as one of the
Board’s seven elected members. Hollis
Salzman
will succeed Schutz as managing partner of the firm’s New
York office.

Schutz, a 21-year member of the Executive Board, is a fellow of the
American College of Trial Lawyers and has been recognized by many legal
organizations and publications as one of the top lawyers in the country,
including The National Law Journal, which named him one of the “Top 10
Winning Litigators in the United States.” He has won a nine-figure and
multiple eight-figure jury verdicts, and has secured victories against
behemoths such as Apple, Clear Channel, Sony, and Canon.

Lockner is a partner in the firm’s Business
Litigation Group
and has extensive experience in a wide array of
complex litigation areas, including healthcare, class action defense,
internal and government investigations, and privacy and data breach
matters. She currently represents healthcare plans in
multimillion-dollar litigation with providers involving claims for
improper billing, breach of contract, and fraud. She recently led a team
in a complex federal lawsuit against a provider that resulted in a $32
million settlement for her client.

Salzman, a member of the firm’s Executive Board, co-chairs the firm’s Antitrust
and Trade Regulation Group
. Throughout her 20-plus-year career,
Salzman has been appointed co-lead counsel on a number of the world’s
largest antitrust cases, and has recovered more than $2 billion in
settlements for victims of antitrust cartels. As co-lead counsel in In
re Air Cargo Shipping Services Litigation
, a class action against
many of the world’s largest airlines, Salzman secured over $1.2 billion
in settlements for purchasers of air freight services. She also serves
as co-lead counsel in In re Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation
and has recovered more than $1.1 billion for purchasers of car parts
affected by price-fixing agreements to date.
