Qumu Announces Intelligent Video Platform as Next Generation in Enterprise Video Technology

Leading Enterprise Video provider cites intelligence-based management
of inbound and outbound corporate video as new standard for Global 2000
companies

MINNEAPOLIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Qumu (NASDAQ: QUMU), the leading provider of best-in-class video
technology for the enterprise, has announced its next generation
enterprise video technology platform. This new platform uses built-in
intelligence to autonomously manage and optimize all inbound and
outbound corporate video streams, creating the first true video-aware
network for the enterprise.

“Through recent technology releases as well as several new partnerships,
Qumu can now manage and optimize everything related to video within the
enterprise,” said Vern Hanzlik, President and CEO of Qumu. “Our platform
can take all aspects of inbound video, video management and video
delivery, and bond it all together with one intelligent platform—a
platform that is autonomous, flexible, and implementation-agnostic.”

This announcement comes weeks after Qumu made its first-ever appearance
in the Aragon Research Globe for Web and Video Conferencing as a new
contender in that space. Typically dominated by firms like Microsoft,
Zoom, Cisco and Adobe, the web and video conferencing market is quickly
expanding to include companies like Qumu, who can unite fragmented
technologies such as webcasting, content management and video delivery
under a single platform.

Recently formalized partnerships with Kollective and British Telecom
(BT) have been key to the rollout of Qumu’s new platform. “We are
excited to announce our integration with Qumu, which will ensure
companies can deliver a stunning enterprise video experience, without
impacting their networks,” stated Dan Vetras, CEO of Kollective. “The
partnership with Qumu and Kollective ensures that networked devices,
even in the most remote locations, can dynamically stream high-quality
video content using an intelligent peering model.”

One of the first beneficiaries of the Qumu and Kollective partnership is
BT, who has recently signed on to offer Qumu’s enterprise video platform
to its global customer base. “We are thrilled Qumu and Kollective have
chosen to integrate their offerings,” said Paul McCrosson, Product
Manager at BT Global Services. “This new partnership will allow BT to
offer these combined services in a standard package to our customers,
reducing the time and risk to deploy a comprehensive streaming
solution—whether it’s securely hosted from the Cloud, or managed
on-premise.”

With these recent platform improvements and partnerships, Qumu is now
able to provide Global 2000 customers with a holistic technology
solution for capturing, managing and delivering corporate
video—regardless of device, bandwidth constraints or location. “Our goal
has always been to deliver an intelligent, end-to-end enterprise video
technology solution,” added Hanzlik. “And early in 2019 we have achieved
that goal.”
