QAD Acquires Digital Commerce Solution Provider WebJaguar to Expand its Complete Customer Management Capabilities

Will enhance QAD’s Complete Customer Management portfolio to help customers increase sales and reduce order processing costs

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–QAD Inc., a leading provider of next-generation manufacturing and supply chain solutions in the cloud, today announced it has acquired WebJaguar, a best-in-class Digital Commerce solution. Founded in 2000 by Bachir Kassir, an ex-Apple engineer, and headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, the company powers over 1,000 eCommerce stores. The solution is modular and highly configurable, allowing customers to easily and rapidly deliver a personalized web shopping experience that fully integrates with ERP.

QAD will fully incorporate WebJaguar’s Digital Commerce solution into its Complete Customer Management portfolio to deepen our customers’ capabilities in meeting their customers where they want to buy, helping them increase sales and reducing order processing costs. In a highly competitive world, companies are seeking solutions to increase sales, reduce upfront and ongoing costs, and rapidly respond to supply and demand signals. The combination of these two solutions delivers the functionality required to meet these challenges.

“We are excited and delighted to welcome WebJaguar to QAD,” said QAD CEO Anton Chilton. “We see tremendous value in their pragmatic approach to Digital Commerce that delivers a rapid implementation with lower ongoing administration while providing a powerful integrated and personalized solution leveraging the ERP to increase automation. Aligned with QAD’s Effective On-Boarding methodology, WebJaguar’s industry and design templates allow customers to launch an eCommerce store faster without needing to start from scratch.”

“QAD’s global presence opens up opportunities to position WebJaguar’s world-class Digital Commerce solution into organizations located around the world, vastly increasing their tangible, addressable market,” said Chilton. “Additionally, it was clear after meetings with the management teams that the company cultures are a great match with a shared passion for deep customer success focus.”

“The WebJaguar team is very excited about joining QAD,” said Bachir Kassir, WebJaguar. “WebJaguar customers will benefit from QAD’s global presence, 24/7 support, and portfolio of ERP and supply chain solutions. This acquisition will provide customers the agility and innovation needed to rapidly respond to an ever changing marketplace.”

The solution will form the backbone of an expanded Digital Commerce solution enabling:

  • Sales / Promotions / Returns (RMA)
  • Payment Gateway
  • Mobile Support
  • Catalog Management
  • Search Engine Management/Optimization (SEM/SEO)
  • Service and Incident Management
  • Implementation Effective On-Boarding and Administration
  • Marketplace Integration Management
  • Administrator and User Dashboards
  • Real-time Shipping / Advanced Shipping Rules
  • Punch-Out SSO catalog integration

The relationship between manufacturers and customers is changing. Rather than a transactional product-focused relationship, manufacturers are increasingly looking toward a longer-term relationship based around a subscription offering (Anything as a Service / XaaS). The Digital Commerce solution is a critical component for facilitating XaaS.

View Partners Capital LLC acted as the exclusive financial advisor to WebJaguar on this transaction.
