Presto is the only comprehensive pay-at-table system to receive this certification. The Point-to-Point Encryption (P2PE) encryption certification is amongst the strictest in the industry
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Presto, provider of the restaurant industry’s next generation front-of-house (FOH) technology platform, has been recognized as an official Payment Card Security Council’s Point-to-Point (P2PE) full solution provider, making the company the only comprehensive pay-at-table system to meet the strict PCI P2PE standards required for payment solutions.
Established by the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council, P2PE certification requires that payment card data is immediately encrypted upon use at the point-of-sale terminal. Further, the information cannot be decrypted until it is safely and securely transported back to, and processed by the payment processor, making digital payment at any of Presto’s thousands of restaurant customer locations safer than ever.
“Payment data breaches from POS malware, otherwise known as “man in the middle attacks” have become more and more prevalent in recent years, which is why we’re proud to have made this exclusive and selective list of the PCI P2PE providers,” said Bill Healey, CTO of Presto. “Customers who make digital payments at any of our restaurant partners across the country can be confident we’ve gone the extra mile to ensure our solution is secure and their data is protected.”
