NEP Group to Showcase NEP Platform at 2026 NAB Show, Advancing the Future of Software-Defined Media Production

More than 75 NEP technical and commercial experts will be onsite at this year’s NAB Show, the premier global gathering for media, entertainment, and technology innovators.

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–NEP Group, the leading media services provider for live sports and entertainment worldwide, today announced it will highlight its newly launched NEP Platform at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas. The innovative software orchestration system is designed to transform how the industry manages media infrastructure and hybrid workflows, giving broadcasters, rightsholders, leagues, and content creators greater control, flexibility and scalability than ever before.

NEP Platform unifies the deployment of critical production applications from multiple vendors within a single, secure interface. With one of the industry’s largest collections of trusted software applications for media production—including vision mixing, audio mixing, replay, infrastructure, multiview, and measurement—operators can configure workflows at the click of a button and dynamically scale resources to meet the needs of any event.

“Innovation at NEP has always been about solving real challenges for our customers, and NEP Platform represents a major step forward in how media production is designed, deployed and managed,” said Mike Werteen, President of NEP Americas and Global Chief Commercial Officer.

“As we mark 40 years of innovation, NEP Platform reflects how we continue to evolve with our clients. Next week, NEP Platform will be front and center as part of our broader ecosystem. NAB is always a valuable opportunity for us to connect with our customers, partners and industry colleagues, and we’re excited to demonstrate how we’re shaping the future of production.”

Advancing End-to-End Production Capabilities Across Mobile Units and Specialty Capture

NEP continues ongoing investment in both next-generation mobile units and advanced specialty capture technologies, ensuring clients have access to the right tools for any production environment.

NEP will introduce several new mobile units in 2026, including customer-driven builds, alongside HDR upgrades across the fleet. From large-scale, multi-trailer flagship units to agile, REMI-focused units designed for distributed workflows, NEP is expanding its full-spectrum fleet to meet the evolving needs of live content creators.

At the same time, NEP Specialty Capture is pushing the boundaries of live production. Through its collaboration with T-Mobile, NEP is leveraging private 5G networks to enhance wireless camera capabilities at large-scale sporting events. By integrating 5G-enabled cameras into existing workflows, broadcasters can deploy more cameras, capture new angles and deliver more dynamic coverage. This work will be highlighted during a joint session at the NAB Tech Theater, showcasing real-world deployments and the future potential of 5G-enabled production.

Experience NEP’s Innovations at the 2026 NAB Show

NEP’s team will host meetings and live demonstrations in its private meeting space located in room N253 on the second floor of the North Hall.

NEP Platform will be featured prominently through live demonstrations both within NEP’s meeting space and across multiple partner booths throughout the show, including Bridge Technologies, Grass Valley, Manifold, Panasonic and Sony, all in Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

NEP will also participate in key industry discussions, including Lise Heidal, President of NEP Europe, who will speak on the “SVG Europe Perspectives in Production” panel at the SVG Chairman’s Forum. Additionally, Dan Grainge, President of NEP Specialty Capture, and Sean Seavers, Business Development Manager, will present alongside T-Mobile at the NAB Tech Theater exhibit titled “More Cameras, More Angles: Private 5G in Next-Gen Sports Broadcasting”.
