According to an internal survey, over half of MillionaireMatch users would date someone with opposing political views.
LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–With the Presidential Election coming up in November, the months before Election Day will undoubtedly see many political news headlines. To understand how politics affect dating, especially the dating of the affluent, MillionaireMatch heads into a particularly contentious election year in the United States.
However, political differences didn’t have as much of an effect on dating preferences, at least for those participating in MillionaireMatch’s dating network for the millionaires. According to the survey of MillionaireMatch, early 52% of the millionaire users said they would date someone who has opposing political beliefs. About 26% of survey respondents said they wouldn’t cross political divides for romantic interests, and just under 23% indicated they have ‘no preference’ in the survey.
In the survey, respondents ranged in age from 25 years old to over 50 years old. And the overwhelming majority of respondents don’t let political affiliations or beliefs ruin what could be a budding romance. About three-quarters of those surveyed on MillionaireMatch either they don’t mind dating outside of their political alliances or don’t see political affiliation as a factor in who they choose to date.
