Mike Watjen Returns to WorldStage as Director of LED
WorldStage is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Watjen as Director of LED. Watjen rejoins WorldStage to head the department where he previously served as Senior LED Engineer.
WorldStage has long supported and pioneered LED display technology as it transformed from an emerging technology to enter mainstream production and become an essential component of cutting-edge AR and xR workflows. WorldStage offers an inventory of all the leading LED brands and has innovated with the development of its own c3ONE LED tiles, i5FLOOR interactive LED floor and StageJack, a lightweight, large-format LED video tile platform
“We’re very excited to welcome Mike back to WorldStage where he will continue to build the LED team and reinforce our position at the forefront of LED technology,” says Josh Perlman, VP, Digital Transformation at WorldStage. “Mike is one of the most well-known and well-respected LED people in the industry. At WorldStage he will oversee the day-to-day operations of the LED team and be the first point of contact supporting our account executives during the sale and post-sale process.”
Watjen is uniquely qualified to head the LED team having extensive experience in both sales and technical support. He was most recently Field Application Engineer at NanoLumens, LED Visualization Solutions, in Acworth, Georgia. Earlier in his career he spent 18 years with Barco, the last five-and-a-half years as an Inside Sales Specialist and Field Application Engineer.
