DALLAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#antoniovicente–Michael Sampson Books imprint publishes its second title this week: Did You Hear That? (Michael Sampson Books; On sale: June 11, 2024) by Antonio Vicente; illustrated by Miguel Ordóñez, #1 New York Times bestselling illustrator of Your Baby’s First Word Will Be DADA. This newly released board book tells the story of a day through its sounds, proposing fun reader-child interaction through onomatopoeia and reviewing the routines of the day while focusing on important emotional aspects for children ages 0–3. Did You Hear That? was translated from Spanish into English by Geoffrey Goff.

Michael Sampson, Publisher of Michael Sampson Books, stated that, “Miguel Ordóñez’s charming and enticing art drew me in immediately. As I started to turn the pages, the words reminded me of the early books by Bill Martin Jr in his Instant Readers series. I know children will adore this fun and easy-to-read book, with its catchy art and fun-to-say words.”

Poster-like drawings by Ordóñez distill familiar activities into colorful toy-like shapes, conjuring up a world that’s a movable audio feast.”—Publishers Weekly
