Lever Continues its Rapid Expansion With New CFO and VP of Engineering
Ed Tang and Dan Quine bring decades of enterprise technology leadership and will help propel Lever into its next stage of growth
SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lever, the leader in talent acquisition software, is pleased to announce that Ed Tang and Dan Quine have joined the company as Chief Financial Officer and VP of Engineering, respectively. The leadership of Tang and Quine will be critical in guiding Lever during this period of extraordinary growth.
Former Box executive Ed Tang joins Lever as CFO
Prior to Lever, Ed Tang served as VP of Strategic Finance, Operations, and Business Analytics at Box. In his five years there, Tang played a critical role in preparing the company for its IPO, building a scalable financial management infrastructure, and implementing best-in-class strategic and financial planning processes. He also drove sales execution by standardizing and automating business processes at a global level.
Tang brings another nine years of experience at Salesforce, where he was involved in business and corporate development and helped build the finance, strategy, and business operations teams. Tang drove post-acquisition integration efforts for some of the most strategic investments in the company’s history.
“I am thrilled to be joining Lever,” said Tang. “The product, the vision, and the team really set Lever apart. I couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity to help this already successful startup continue to grow and reach its full potential.”
Dan Quine, PhD brings more than 25 years of experience to Lever’s R&D team
Before coming to Lever, Dan Quine served as VP of Engineering, Product, and Design at AltSchool, Chief Technology Officer at live music startup Songkick, and co-founder of book publishing company Blurb. Quine also led engineering teams at Google, Apple, and Unicru — an enterprise recruiting software company.
“Quine’s extensive experience leading engineering organizations at high-growth technology companies has given him a unique perspective on how to build mission-critical software that delights users and propels business growth,” said Nate Smith, co-founder and CTO at Lever. “His strength in building and managing high-performance engineering organizations will ensure that Lever engineering will continue to be world-class as we scale globally, accelerate adoption, and deliver innovative technology that solves real customer needs.”
Quine earned his PhD in machine learning from Leeds University where he also served as a visiting professor. He holds 15 patents for his work.
“I am delighted to be joining Lever at this exciting moment in the company’s history,” said Quine. “The team has built a stellar product and an amazing engineering team and culture. Opportunities to join a company of this caliber are rare, and I’m looking forward to helping Lever grow and succeed.”
