Lavu Welcomes New General Manager of Albuquerque

Lavu promotes Albuquerque native to lead Albuquerque office

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lavu, a restaurant management platform, today announces the promotion of Jacquelyn Turcich to director of HR and general manager (GM) of their Albuquerque headquarters. Turcich brings a heightened level of expertise to the Lavu team with goals to better serve her community and develop the Albuquerque employees by taking over the training and HR department.

As director of HR at Lavu, Turcich is responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources. In her new role, Turcich will strategically integrate effective HR processes, programs, and practices into Lavu’s daily operations, performing internal reviews and audits of current systems and policies. She will also take the lead on all HR-related projects, such as providing advice on all disciplinary review conferences and participating in the design, development, and implementation of innovative workforce retention programs.

Turcich attended both high school and college locally. She has spent her entire professional career in Albuquerque, serving as a paramedic prior to transitioning into HR.

“I was attracted to Lavu because of their commitment to Albuquerque and promoting their best and brightest employees,” said Turcich. “After previously working in emergency medical services, I value serving my community and will continue to do so in hopes of making Lavu one of the best places to work in Albuquerque.”

Lavu has been headquartered in Albuquerque since its beginning in 2010. They have since opened additional offices in Miami, FL, and Hyderabad, India which allows Turcich to tap into more diverse talent from different locations. Lavu intends to continue hiring in Albuquerque for more specialized roles. Lavu also offers opportunities for its own staff to grow in areas of interest.

“At Lavu, we show our dedication to our community by valuing promotion from within,” said Lavu CEO, Saleem K. Khatri. “Adding Jacquelyn to our team is a reflection of our dedication because of her familiarity with the city of Albuquerque and its people. I’m confident she will continue to foster growth in our current and future employees.”

Since Lavu’s decision to retain and expand its headquarters in New Mexico, Lavu intends to hire more local, specialized talent. To learn more about job opportunities at Lavu in Albuquerque, please visit https://lavu.com/careers/
