Sonoma Valley Winery Enhances Nationally Available Wines By Leveraging Latest AR Technology
GLEN ELLEN, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BroadenYourPalate–Imagery Estate Winery today announced the launch of a new augmented reality app designed to allow users to create shareable moments by applying a selection of unforgettable filters that turn every day surroundings into an artistic work. Imagery Estate Winery has always been about pushing the boundaries of the status quo in winemaking and now it’s applying that same approach with technology. With today’s announcement, consumers can experience the art in a glass of wine, as well as the art in the world around them.
Winemaker Jamie Benziger has been putting her own spin on the wines at Imagery, by introducing a new collection of wines that blend the more esoteric varietals Imagery is known for with traditional varietals. Wanting to further engage her own demographic, millennials, Jamie considered the trend of technology and wine and led the creation of Imagery’s AR app. Jamie explained, “Art is at the core of everything we do at Imagery Estate Winery, and technology pairs seamlessly with the world of art. Further thinking about how my friends like to use technology to engage with wine, it was a natural fit for Imagery to introduce an augmented reality app that transforms the everyday into art.”
The Imagery AR app is available on Apple and Android devices. Once the app is downloaded, users scan any Imagery label or logo from the new Imagery Collection to access the app’s features. After the Imagery label has been scanned, four different art filters begin converting the users’ surroundings into art scenes. Photos and videos with the filters can be captured in the app and then exported to share via text, email and social media.
The new Imagery Collection of wines include Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon and are available nationwide with a suggested retail price of $19.99. For more information about Imagery Estate Winery and where to find the wines, please visit https://imagerywinery.com/.
About Imagery Estate Winery
Imagery Estate Winery was founded in the mid 1980’s by Joe Benziger, who saw an opportunity to showcase small lots of exceptional fruit that would have otherwise been lost in larger blends. Imagery is dedicated to an unconventional approach to winemaking and blending, which inspires unique wines that broaden the palate. The approach has paid off, as Imagery has received numerous awards praising the unique portfolio of wines, including 2017 Golden State Winery of the Year, Bay Area A-List City Voter “Best of Sonoma” Winery five out of the past six years, and platinum and gold awards at the 2017 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Competition and 2017 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. Today Joe’s daughter, Jamie Benziger, blends the spirit of their Sonoma winery with best-selling varietals to create nationally available wines with a twist, while also continuing to produce unique Sonoma Valley wines available in the tasting room.
