Illumination Dynamics Adds Ayrton MISTRALs to Lighting Inventory

Illumination Dynamics, a full-service lighting, grip and power distribution company with locations in Los Angeles and Charlotte, North Carolina, has acquired a compliment of Ayrton MISTRAL LED spot luminaires for its rental inventory.  ACT Lighting, Inc. is the exclusive distributor of Ayrton lighting fixtures in North America.

“It’s our goal to replace older technology and stay current with new technology and LED engines,” says Mark Rudge, Vice President of Automated Lighting. Illumination Dynamics launched its automated lighting division in 2008 and now boasts an inventory of more than 2,000 movers along with a vast selection of theatrical and LED fixtures. It supplies automated fixtures to major TV and corporate events.

“We really like the size of MISTRAL, its output and its full-loaded feature set,” he reports. The versatile and ultra-compact fixture is designed for applications requiring perfect color reproduction.

Illumination Dynamics has already used MISTRALs on NBC’s “Songland,” “General Hospital,” NBC’s new late-night talk show “A Little Late with Lilly Singh,” the theatrical production “Silk Road,” “Frozen, the Musical” and a Microsoft E3 dealer briefing.

“The support we received from ACT Lighting was excellent from the quotation process through delivery and even after the purchase,” Rudge notes.

Illumination Dynamics is an ARRI rental group company founded in 2001.
