Francine Katsoudas of Cisco Joins the BetterTM Podcast and Says Companies Need to Have a Bigger Conversation About Mental Health

OAKLAND, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#GPTWCertified–Great Place to Work®, the global authority on high trust workplace culture, recently unveiled BetterTM, a new podcast series of interviews with some of the best leaders in business.

In the latest episode, Fran Katsoudas, the Chief People Officer at Cisco, says that in the past year, mental health has been at the forefront of the company’s conservation about workplace culture. “It’s a dialogue that historically has been taboo at all companies,” she says. Recently, Cisco’s CEO Chuck Robbins sent an e-mail inviting employees to share personal stories around mental health issues, resulting in a company-wide meeting that she says helped every employee feel comfortable to be their whole selves at work.

Each episode of Better offers tips, strategy, and advice from executives at Great Place to Work-Certified companies that make their workplace culture a top priority, because they know it’s ultimately better for their people, better for business, and better for the world.

The first season of Better was recorded during the 2019 Great Place to Work For All Summit in San Francisco. Podcast episodes can be found on Apple iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher, and TuneIn, as well as Great Place to Work’s website.
