EAW Unleashes Three Newport Series Additions at InfoComm 2026

FRANKLIN, MA, JUNE 2, 2026Eastern Acoustic Works (EAW®) unveils the latest additions to its Newport Series of lightweight, high-performance solutions that break the price-to-performance status quo. Launching at InfoComm 2026 (Booth N6345 and Demo Room N117), the new NT208L Line Array and NT116S Subwoofer complement the line, providing simplicity of operation, space efficiency and high performance for touring and live productions, installations and outdoor festivals. EAW is also debuting its new Online Array Assistant (OAA) software, a browser-based tool available for use via computer or smart phone that provides angles, pick-points and switch settings for peak performance, ensuring rigging is right on the first hang.

The Newport Series combines high-power integrated amplification with lightweight, durable construction to eliminate extra gear and simplify deployment. It’s designed for fast, intuitive setup, delivering strong output and coverage from a compact, tour-ready system. The Newport Series integrates high-efficiency Class-D amplification directly into each enclosure, eliminating the need for external amp racks and reducing both transport requirements and setup complexity. In addition to the new OAA software, the Newport Series products are included in EAW’s Resolution software libraries for professional 3D SPL modeling and detailed room optimization.

“Newport cabinets use a new EAW horn and patented waveguide technology, while also being engineered to be the lightest in their class,” says Geoff McKinnon, Senior Director of Engineering at EAW. “Even the smallest modules provide high-frequency throw and low-mid punch that typically requires much larger-format, more expensive systems. By integrating the amplification directly into the cabinets, EAW eliminated the weight and footprint of external amp racks. This means less warehouse space and allows you to fit more PA into a smaller truck, reducing labor demands and transportation costs.”

The new NT208L line array is a dual 8-inch active line array that joins the existing NT206L and NTX210L. It delivers 141 dB Max SPL with low-frequency extension to 50 Hz – an output typically reserved for much heavier dual 10-inch or 12-inch systems. It is designed with a 2000W Class-D amplifier and field-adjustable horn (80°, 95°, or 110°). Additionally, the NT208L, as well as the NT206L, features EAW’s Adjustable Horizontal Directivity (AHD). With AHD, users can quickly choose between four horizontal coverage profiles through simple, toolless adjustments in the field.

The new NT116S Subwoofer provides 50% more air displacement than a 15” driver and 4000W of peak onboard power. It delivers 135dB SPL and a 25Hz extension that outperforms many 18” subwoofers. An optional rigging accessory allows the NT116S to be flown with the NT206L line array or deployed as a standalone low frequency solution. The NT116S features a dedicated “Cardioid Mode” selectable via the back panel, which, when the subwoofers are physically configured, provides low-frequency energy in the audience area and keeps it off the stage. EAW also has additional subwoofer options in development, NT119S and NT219S, that will further complement the Newport line.

Cabinets are constructed from high-quality Baltic birch, steel and aluminum, resulting in some of the lightest professional systems on the market. Each module is built with premium materials and road-ready finishes. Additionally, dedicated rain shields are available to protect the amplifier and input sections during outdoor deployments.

Additionally, the Online Array Assistant (OAA) eliminates the risk of time-consuming re-rigging and ensures peak acoustic performance before the array leaves the deck by delivering key parameters up front. This browser-based tool instantly configures pick-points, splay angles and back-panel switch settings by simply inputting enclosure count, trim height and coverage start and stop targets.

“We look forward to demonstrating these new additions to the Newport Series at InfoComm 2026,” says McKinnon. “As a professional, you don’t just manage sound; you manage time, logistics and expectations. Newport provides the technical certainty you need when the stakes are highest.”
