DPA Microphones Welcomes New Team Members to Lead Company’s Wireless Systems Sales

LONGMONT, COLORADO, AUGUST 22, 2024 ― Following its strategic U.S. collaboration with  Wisycom, DPA Microphones is expanding its team with the addition of several wireless systems professionals to facilitate the tremendous growth trajectory of these leading pro audio companies. Included among its latest appointments are industry veterans Adinaldo “Adi” Neves as Director of Business Development, Wireless, and Marcos Nieves as Area Sales Manager, D.C. Metro. Geoff Baynard also joins the team as Business Development Manager, Wireless.

“As a renowned leader in the professional audio industry, we are thrilled to welcome Adi, Marcos and Geoff to our team to help expand our wireless systems business,” says Christopher Spahr, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, DPA Microphones and Wisycom USA. “This trio of professionals bring decades of sales, support and business development experience that will be pivotal in continuing to grow into the wireless market. Bringing Wisycom into our product offerings allows us to offer high-end complete wireless microphone and RF systems to audio professionals, and I am confident that these new additions will work exceptionally well with our existing team to deliver ideal solutions to our customers.”

A seasoned product management executive with extensive experience in the technology sector, Adi Neves will spearhead DPA Microphones/Wisycom wireless business development. Prior to joining DPA, Neves was with Shure Incorporated, where he held a variety of product management, market development and technical training positions for over a decade. Neves also held sales or business development roles with Sennheiser, JBL Pro/Harman and AVID/Digidesign. A graduate of Barrington University, where he earned a BA in marketing, Neves also studied for an MBA in international business at the University of Atlanta.

As a longtime audio professional in the broadcast, AV, music and live markets, Neves has worked with customers from events such as the GRAMMY® Awards, Lollapalooza, FIFA World Cup and NBA Summer League. With fluency in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Neves will also lend his expertise to assist with growing the Wisycom business across the Americas and Caribbean regions.

Neves is joined by Marcos Nieves, who comes to DPA via the Wisycom partnership. With a wireless systems career that spans more than two decades, Nieves got his start in the industry at Systems Wireless/Bexel, where he gained ground-up knowledge of the inner workings of broadcast and production wireless.

After being appointed as General Manager of the Bexel D.C. office in 2007, Nieves joined Jetwave Wireless in 2015 as Vice President and Director of Sales, during which time he helped launch Wisycom wireless products into the U.S. market. Nieves has worked in all phases of sales and rentals; support; operations; vendor and manufacturer relations; and project management in broadcast, production and live event wireless. Nieves will call on these experiences to help grow both the DPA and Wisycom brands.

Geoff Baynard also joins DPA as part of the alliance with Wisycom, where he served for five years as Product Marketing Manager and previously Product Specialist. Prior to his time with Wisycom, Baynard spent several years as a house of worship Media Director. He will support the DPA and Wisycom brands by providing U.S. business development and sales support.

The DPA/Wisycom partnership marked a significant step forward in aligning the strengths of the two brands while preserving their distinct identities. Consolidating operations under one roof at DPA Microphones’ existing corporate headquarters in Longmont, Colorado has enabled the companies to efficiently leverage shared resources. With the structure currently in place, Wisycom benefits from an expanded service department, augmented customer support team and enhanced logistics infrastructure in the United States. Sales and support efforts have also been seamlessly integrated, with DPA’s new and existing Area Sales Managers assuming responsibility for driving sales of both brands in their respective territories, while a dedicated U.S.-based Global Sales Support team is in place to aid customers.
