Certegy Launches on-the-go Payments with new Mobile Solution

Merchants can accept checks and ACH payments from any location using the new MobilePay app

CLEARWATER, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Certegy, a leading ACH payments and risk management company, today announced the launch of its new MobilePay solution enabling field and home service merchants to accept checks from any location. The MobilePay app authorizes the payment, converts it to an electronic ACH, and deposits the payment remotely into the merchants’ bank account.

The MobilePay app is available for both iOS and Android phones and tablets via the Apple App Store and the Google Play store. Once the merchant has the app downloaded and enters their credentials, they can accept payments on-the-go within minutes.

“As we rapidly innovate and roll out new technology solutions, MobilePay is another example of providing our merchants various payment acceptance methods saving them money and providing convenience for the merchant and the customer,” said Colby Thames, Chief Technology Officer, Certegy. “Merchants and customers alike want choice and flexibility when it comes to payment methods. Offering MobilePay and solutions like our Buy Now, Pay Later product offer significant alternatives to high-fee credit card programs.”

Leveraging the BankPay platform, MobilePay enables Certegy’s best-in-class verification and risk management allowing merchants to safely accept consumer payments at the point of service. With over $2 billion in BankPay ACH transactions annually, MobilePay provides a significant savings to merchants compared to credit or debit transactions. In addition to lower cost, merchants can also leverage Certegy’s Warranty program, guaranteeing full reimbursement for returned transactions.

To download the MobilePay app, visit the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.
