Apple Growth Partners’ Susan Burnoski Named Forty Under 40

Burnoski is a principal and director of the audit and assurance department.

Burnoski, 35, has been a driving force in the firm’s audit department since beginning her career with AGP more than 12 years ago. Burnoski has built her career as an expert in assurance compliance requirements to improve internal processes. She is an industry expert in employee benefit plans and designing internal controls. Burnoski works with clients to perform audits, identify fraud, and establish internal controls for both not-for-profit and for-profit companies. Committed to helping clients by obtaining an in-depth understanding of their individual needs, Burnoski helps identify and resolve issues. Burnoski has been successful in her approach, proven by a client learning the fiduciary responsibility related to their employee benefit plans and welcomed her expertise.
In addition to her role as principal, Burnoski leads the firm’s auditing team, responsible for scheduling, hiring, on-boarding, and management. Burnoski spends her time in the firm’s Akron and Cleveland offices to work with clients throughout Northeastern Ohio.
Burnoski is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. She was a member of the Akron Torchbearers, where she served as the service committee vice chair in 2013. She is a member of the Case Young Accountancy Advisory Board and Case Weatherhead Alumni Association. Burnoski volunteered her time as a race participant and event volunteer for the Cleveland Dragon Boat Association. Burnoski was named a 30 for the Future honoree by the Greater Akron Chamber in 2016. She recently finished her two terms as a trustee of the Greater Akron Musical Association, where she served two years as the finance committee chair and two years as treasurer. She is a member of CREW Cleveland, currently serves on the finance committee of Legacy III, and on the board of the Greater Akron Musical Association Foundation. She also speaks Cantonese fluently. Along with her career and civic accomplishments, Burnoski and her husband have two children and spend their time visiting local attractions.
