Insight School of Minnesota Students Log on for the New Year September 9

BROOKLYN CENTER, Minn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#backtoschool–Students at Insight School of Minnesota (ISMN) will begin the 2019-2020 school year on September 9, simply by turning on their computers. A full-time online public school program of the Brooklyn Center School District, ISMN offers students statewide in grades 6-12 an alternative path to complete their high school education.

“At ISMN we give students the space to learn in an environment where they can focus on their education and get the skills they need to succeed,” said head of school John Huber. “We strive to meet each student wherever they are on their academic journey, encouraging them and making sure their families feel supported.”

The comprehensive education approach at ISMN focuses on providing students with the academic, social and emotional support they need to succeed in school and beyond. The curriculum is offered to support each students’ individual learning needs, styles and goals. The school’s Student Success Program provides a personalized education plan for every student, including targeted support for students in need of credit recovery or academic remediation.

Through interactive online class sessions, ISMN students and their teachers engage and interact as if they were sitting together in a traditional classroom, from anywhere in the state with an internet connection.

Throughout the school year, ISMN builds a sense of community through in-person field trips, social outings and service learning opportunities. ISMN honors graduating seniors with an in-person commencement ceremony in the spring.
