ConnectSense Launches Smart In-Wall Outlet With Capacitive Touch and Ultra-Precise Energy Monitoring for Consumer and Commercial-Grade Applications

ConnectSense’s newest product is now available to customers throughout North America

NAPERVILLE, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ConnectSense, a leading manufacturer of home automation products, announces the release of the ConnectSense Smart In-Wall Outlet, a WiFi connected in-wall outlet that allows for complete control and monitoring of any device that is plugged into it. The outlet’s relays can be used to turn on/off each individual outlet through the available ConnectSense app, capacitive touch-controlled buttons, or voice commands via third party devices. The Smart In-Wall Outlet is compatible with iOS and Android, and supports Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant voice platforms, allowing simple control of your devices.

Available in both 15 Amp and 20 Amp options, the Smart In-Wall Outlet is easy to install and has been intelligently designed to operate in homes, as well as commercial environments such as office buildings, airports, factories, and universities. ConnectSense’s Smart In-Wall Outlet is one of the only dual controlled and metered 20A outlets on the market. Once installed, the outlet utilizes Near Field Communication (NFC) as part of the setup process, which allows it to quickly connect to an available wireless network. You can then begin controlling and monitoring any device, including lights, fans, appliances, and anything else you can imagine.

The built-in plug detection automatically senses when a device is plugged in, so you can begin controlling it via your mobile device or tablet. In addition, the capacitive touch-controlled buttons on the outlet can lock out power when the outlet isn’t in use, adding unparalleled safety for homes with younger children. Once paired with the ConnectSense app, users can control each individual outlet remotely, turning off power to devices not in use, saving time, money and energy while gaining peace of mind.

The ConnectSense’s Smart In-Wall Outlet allows for ultra-precise monitoring of the total power usage of each outlet with real-time voltage readings. With this information, which is more precise than many other smart outlets, users can better understand their power consumption, the cost associated with each device, and adjust usage as needed. Often times, just empowering homeowners with this data can reduce their overall energy usage by 20-40%.

“Our team has listened to the requests of our customers and has worked tirelessly to evolve this unique technology. We’ve made the In-Wall Outlet faster, more powerful, easier to use, and designed to seamlessly fit into any home or commercial space. We have just started to scratch the surface of what is possible with this device, ” said Adam Justice, founder and CEO of ConnectSense. “I’m excited to hear from and work with our customers to see how we can continue to help them control their environments, save energy and money, keep their homes and businesses safe, and improve their lives with technology.”
